Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: March 2026

MyHome Restoration Experts is committed to making our website accessible to all visitors, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA standards.

Our Commitment

We take the following steps to support accessibility on myhomerestorationexperts.com:

  • We test our website regularly for accessibility barriers and work to address issues as they are identified.
  • We train our content team on accessible web practices.
  • We include accessibility as a requirement in our website design and development process.

Accessibility Features

Our website includes the following accessibility features:

Navigation and Structure

  • Consistent navigation layout across all pages
  • Descriptive page titles and heading hierarchy for screen reader navigation
  • Skip-to-content links to bypass repeated navigation elements
  • Breadcrumb navigation to indicate your location within the site

Visual Design

  • Color contrast ratios that meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
  • Text that can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
  • No content that relies solely on color to convey information
  • Readable font sizes and clear typography

Images and Media

  • Alternative text (alt text) on all meaningful images, including project photos and before/after galleries
  • Decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them
  • Video content includes captions where available

Forms and Interactive Elements

  • All form fields have associated labels
  • Error messages clearly identify the field and describe the issue
  • Required fields are marked in both text and visual indicators
  • The chatbot interface supports keyboard navigation

Keyboard Accessibility

  • All interactive elements (links, buttons, form fields, menus) are accessible via keyboard
  • Visible focus indicators show which element is currently selected
  • No keyboard traps that prevent users from navigating away from an element

Known Limitations

While we work toward full accessibility, some areas of the site may have limitations:

  • PDF documents: Some older PDF files (estimates, brochures) may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We are working to convert these to accessible formats. Contact us if you need any document in an alternative format.
  • Before/after image sliders: Interactive image comparison sliders on project gallery pages may not be fully operable with keyboard-only navigation. Static before and after images are provided as alternatives.
  • Maps: Embedded Google Maps on our contact page rely on third-party accessibility features. Our full address is provided in text format alongside the map.
  • Legacy content: Some older blog posts or pages may not meet current accessibility standards. We are reviewing and updating this content on an ongoing basis.

Third-Party Content

Our website includes content and services from third parties, such as Google Maps, Google Analytics, and our chatbot platform. While we select third-party tools with accessibility in mind, we cannot guarantee that all third-party content meets WCAG 2.1 AA standards. If you experience difficulty with any third-party feature on our site, please let us know and we will do our best to provide an alternative way to access the information or service.
